gerent

Catalan to English Other Education / Pedagogy
Is there a special name for this, university adminstrator doesn't sound right to me (or is that right?)

Bursar

From the UdG website:

a) El rector o rectora
b) El secretari o secretària general
c) Els vicerectors i les vicerectores
d) El o la gerent

In terms of UK universities, notwithstanding substantial variation between different universities, these correspond to (I think):

a) Chancellor
b) Vice-chancellor
c) department and faculty heads
d) Bursar, a university-wide post covering day-to-day management and finances.

Another person is the Dean, who is in charge of student discipline.
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony Isaac : 'Manager' would be fine in business but 'bursar' sounds much more appropriate here.
