I have problems with the translation of 备板. It is a part of the kanban production, but I can't find a proper translation for it.
Here is a context:
收发及仓储管理：实现车辆下线、倒运、出库等各个环节的管理，同时对车辆仓库摆放、提车、备板等实现看板管理；
I translated it as "prepared plates", but I am not very happy with it.
Are there any other suggestions?

My gut feeling is this is about spare tail-plates, i.e. 汽车尾板。You can goole 汽车尾板， which will show you it is the tail plate at the back of a lorry which can be lifted or lowered, so that goods can be moved into/out of the lorry.
As this context is talking about warehouse for vehicles, I am inclined to think my guess is right.

Since this is related to the Kanban (看板 - Dashboard Management http://goo.gl/RTtxj4) production system, I would think it is referring to the car inventory system (同时对车辆仓库摆放、提车、备板等) of placing, withdrawal, and spare (standby) board...
