Dutch term
onder G. No. xxx (u)
Dutch to English
Law/Patents
Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
Apostille/Certification
I am translating a birth certificate from Surinam, which carries a legalisation stamp (apostille) on the back. This needs to be translated too.
In essence this stamp certifies that the certificate is legal.
It has 10 numbered parts to it.
Part number 8 is the following:
onder G. No. xxxx (u)
Assuming No. means number, and the xxx is a four digit number, can anyone help me with what this phrase stands for please, specifically G.and (u).
Thank you, Eke

Eke, zou je de vraag willen sluiten?
Doe ermee wat je wilt.
Ik wordt een beetje moe van die herhalingen.
Alvast bedankt.

I agree it would be the number of the apostille, the similarity is unmistakable.
numbering
262 The Convention does not specify how Apostilles are to be numbered. Ultimately, it is up to each Competent Authority to determine a system for numbering.
263 The number on the Apostille is critical to allowing a recipient to verify the origin of the Apostille (as provided by Art. 7(2) of the Convention). Accordingly, each Apostille issued by a particular Competent Authority should have a unique number. In practice, some Competent Authorities use an alphanumeric system to number Apostilles.
