GCS 8 Explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glasgow_Coma_Scale EMV = Eye, motor and verbal response. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 hrs (2009-08-18 14:56:34 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- GCS seems to be used with the sum of the E, M and V scores (8 is also a sum of the E, M and V scores) and the separate E, M and V scores may also be shown e.g. "GCS 9 = E2 V4 M3 at 07:35" (from the Wiki link). The term "EMV score" with the sum of the scores is not very common (160 hits) and people more commonly seem to use "GCS score" (30,000 hits). |
