Hybrid ATA with FXS and FXO ports
The HT813 is an analog telephone adapter that features 1 analog telephone FXS port and 1 PSTN line FXO port in order to offer backup lifeline support using a PSTN line.
The integration of a FXO and FXS port enables this hybrid ATA to support remote calling to and from the PSTN line.

Quel que soit le système, POTS ou VoIP, il y a toujours un câble entre le système et la prise murale (FXS).

I have two OBi110 units one is a hardware ver 2.8 and the second (newer) unit is a hardware ver 3.4. On the newer unit [ver 3.4] the device is supposed to contain a relay that connects the FXO to the FXS port in the event of power failure but it does not work as described in the OBi product literature. I have tested my older unit [ver 2.8] and the relay functions as expected during power outages. If this feature was intended to be removed I suggest OBIHAI remove it from their product description. For some of us we consider it a life saving necessity and one of the selling points of the 110 over the much simpler OBi100."

"Are you thinking that the phone attached to the OBi will function because there is a relay switch which will automatically connect you to the PSTN? Despite what their specs say, there have been threads with people confirming that this is not the case. It seems sometime ago OBihai quietly dropped the relay switch from the OBi. Unless they have put it back, I would not go by anything you read in any OBihai documentation because it has been incorrect in the past since it was true only for the early production units. The only way to be sure is to unplug the OBi110 and see if you can make an outgoing call."
