angielski term
in terms of blowby oil that makes its way past the piston rings

Dirt, oil, spider webs, etc. can contaminate a MAF sensor wire (or film). If the MAF sensor is contaminated by oil, the cause is usually oil vapor from the PCV system in terms of blowby oil that makes its way past the piston rings.

blowby and contamination of the MAF sensor
Oil can be introduced into the air-intake system by an incorrectly serviced aftermarket air filter, a faulty Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve, or an engine that is burning oil. Oil buildup on the heated wire of the MAF can cause the sensor to fail.

I agree with stepman. The PCV uses manifold vacuum to pull air out of the crankcase through the PCV valve over one of the valve covers. That pulls clean (filtered) air from between the filter and the throttle body in through the tube the first post refers to. If there is a lot of blowby, the PCV valve will be overwhelmed and blowby will blow back up the clean air tube into the snorkel between the filter and the throttle body. This is how oil gets on the filter or throttle body. It could easily coat the MAF, making it insensitive to air flow.

I zaważyłbyś, że ten mechanizm zanieczyszczenia nijak nie jest do pogodzenia z oryginalnym tekstem "blowby oil that makes its way past the piston rings".
Jeszcze raz: ""blowby oil that makes its way past the piston rings" jako źródło zanieczyszczenia przepływomierza w kanale dolotowym jest bzdurą.
Oryginał jasno mówi "blowby oil that makes its way past the piston rings".
Natomiast w skrzyni korbowej panuje atmosfera gazów z przedmuchów, zmieszanych z mglą i oparami oleju. I ta mieszanina zasysana jest poprzez odmę [skrzyni korbowej] (nazwana tutaj PCV) do kanałów dolotowych, gdzie (potencjalnie) może być źródłem zanieczyszczenia przepływomierza.
