Preheat Cadco Oven to 285°F for 20 minutes by turning timer to hold position. Oven is preheated when light turns off. Step 2: Line 1/2 sheet pan with Teflon sheet. Step 3: Take batter out of refrigerator only when ready to scoop. Batter must remain below 45ºF. Return batter to refrigerator immediately after scooping. Step 4: With gloved hand, scoop cookie batter directly from box. Lay opened box of batter on its side, if necessary, to make scooping easier. Step 5: Holding 2 oz. scoop in one hand, firmly push cookie batter into scoop, using palm of other hand until scoop is slightly overfilled. Remove excess batter with palm of same hand resulting in flat, level, scoop. Release batter with thumb lever.

Buscando despiece de boleadoras de helado (o cucharas, porcionadores, como quieras llamarlo) he visto que bastantes fabricantes lo llaman"gatillo". No lo sabía, pero tiene sentido. También me he encontrado "resorte", pero me gusta menos. Ahora, que si dices "palanca" creo que se entiende perfectamente.
