SEVERANCE OR APPURTENANT CHARACTER OF STOCK.

At the written request of a shareholder, and upon surrender of his or her stock certificate for cancellation, the Board of Directors may sever the appurtenant character of the stock of that shareholder from the land to which the stock is appurtenant. If at any time, the appurtenant character of the stock of the Company is severed from the land to which the stock is appurtenant, the Board of Directors shall have the power to transfer and convey the Company ownership of the pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures and other equipment used in connection with providing water service to the subject property, except such fixtures and equipment as are necessary to supply any of the remaining lots to which the Company supplies water.
