English term or phrase: dynamic-decay
The period of decay in the magnetic field implies that the reversals of the magnetic moment then have to take place over a very short period of time which suggests a collision of some kind whereby the rotating molten magnetic core would be made to oscillate unevenly, thus causing the field intensity of the earth’s surface to fluctuate up and down for thousands of years afterward. This model of the earth’s magnetic field is called the ***dynamic-decay*** model. [...] The dynamo theories predicted a very small magnetic field because there was little heat outflow from the planet’s surface (and dynamo theories are based on heat energy converting to magnetic energy). Using ***dynamic-decay*** theory, the mass of Uranus indicated that a magnetic moment of between 1 x 1023 and 1 x 1025 joules/tesla should be expected. In the event, Voyager II measured a value of 3 x 1024 Joules/Tesla

decaimiento dinámico

Explanation:

disagree  M. C. Filgueira: "Decaimiento" significa "decadencia" o "abatimiento, desaliento".
