The basic meaning is the same
"Conduct of study" means the way in which the study in question shall be organized. The 2 words are interchangeable. The sentence has been written that way because saying "organize" for both would "sound bad" and look unprofessional, but the 2 words do mean pretty much the same and a Chinese > English online dictionary is likely to use the same words to explain them.
