I need an abbreviation for the above to start captions under photographs in a guidebook. Is there any popular one? I found "Phot. (by)" - but this seems obscure and I'm not sure how natural that sounds to native speakers. "Pic. (by)" appears to suggest drawings or paintings as well as photographs, and I need something short (little space for captions) to go unambiguously with photographs (that is, before the name of the photographer - NOT before photo number).
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Saying that, I've just looked at a Time Out guidebook and the photo credits are listed at the end of the book.
