Technologies used in jeans production. The question has been already asked on the polish- english forum. Can anyone explain, what this technology is in a nutshell?

application of chemical_heat/industrially washing and removing sizing to soften garment
Apparel standards are changing...sometimes the fabric is "pre-cured" at the mill. other times it is "post-cured" after the manufacturing process.
Application of heat (usually 140° C and above), on fabrics which have been treated with resin-forming or other chemicals, or of synthetic fabrics alone, to impart properties such as crease-retention, water-repellency, wrinkle resistance, dimensional stability and durable press. Heat treatment for several minutes is usual, but higher temperatures for short times (flash-curing) and long times at low temperatures and higher regain (moist curing) are also used. If properly cured, the fabric has qualities that are durable through many washings and dry cleanings.

"garment wash" is to make sure that the garment has the appropriate fabric feel

The way a fabric feels. This is a very subjective judgment of the feel of a fabric and it should help decide if a fabric is suitable for a specific end use. Hand may be crisp, soft, drapeable, smooth, springy, stiff, cool, warm, rough, hard, limp, soapy........
Finishing and garment wash affect the final handle of a fabric.
Cure, Curing - The application of carefully controlled hest to a fabric or garment to cause a reaction in the finishing agents and make them work.
Wash-And-Wear - Ability of a garment to be washed by hand or in a washing machine and require no ironing. In common usage, drip-dried garments do not retain crease or pleats and recover sufficiently from wrinkles to need little, if any ironing.
