Flemish term

afwerkingsgraad

Flemish to English Law/Patents Mechanics / Mech Engineering judgment/ruling, court case, appeal
"... de ruiter (de grendel) is voorzien van een knoopsgat waarvan de afwerkingsgrad onvermijdelijk ruime speling toelaat."

Final question regarding this sentence. How should 'afwerkingsgraad' be understood here? TIA. Cheers, R.

I would really only use the word finish. "... is suplied with a button whole of which the finish allows ...." You could also change the sentence around to read: ... is supplied with a button whole, finished to the extent that it allows .....

I think "afwerkingsgraad" is probably understood to be the extent to which the product is finishes.
