: Yes, this is the most fluent, natural way to say it in EN.

the terms of the agency (E&W) of the marriage settlement
I doubt this is a Swiss match-making or marriage bureau brief, as in the first reference comment. The give-away could lie in the question: ....'confie expressément ou tacitement l’administration de ses biens à son conjoint--'
'Without wishing to names-drop', I am pretty sure that there are certain London High Court Family and Chancery (aka Property Court) Divisional Judges who would deem the 'mandat' a settlement.

Example sentence:
Marriage settlements are a document granted before a notary public by which the spouses, or future spouses, establish the 'patrimonial' / financial and economic rules related to their marriage.

Intreresting linkage back to the terms of the marriage settlement; it is logical but I cannot be sure |

rules of the power of attorney
A Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document giving one person the authority to act for another person (the principal). This agent may have broad or limited legal authority to make decisions about the principal's property, finances, or medical care.

I'll rephrase it as The power of attorney rules

: Correct meaning, but stilted phrasing--at least, it sounds stilted to me as a US & UK EN speaker. If it sounds fluent/natural in Nigerian EN--does it? I have no idea--then of course it's correct for Nigeria.

Anyway, one hundred thousand thank yous, as they say in Ireland, for choosing my answer. Well, one at least, anyway!

Interesting:
"In general, a Swiss power of attorney includes rights for: extrajudicial representation, representation before all courts of law and any administrative authorities, entry into agreements, including arbitration agreements, entering into settlements, receiving and issuing payments, securities, dealing with matters regarding debt collection and litigation in Switzerland, representation in inheritance matters and even representation in criminal matters."
