'capteur' may be 'detector' or 'sensor', depending on whwta it is that is being detected / sensed. Other details in your document may give you further clues to this, but even if not, it isn't really too crucial, and the terms are often used interchangeably, though some just fell more 'right' than others. In my own personal logic, a 'detector' detects the presence or absence of something, e.g. 'flame detector', while a 'sensor' measures a variable quantity, e.g. 'temperature sensor'.
