German term

der bewegte Prozess

German to English Social Sciences Philosophy
Hello all,

Still the ergonomics text, but talking about the connection between the mental, spiritual and physical. "Einklang von Körper, Geist und Seele ist der bewegte Prozess eines lebendigen Systems."

Can anyone help me with the concept of "der bewegte Prozess"?

Many thanks!

Anne Schulz Oct 27, 2006:
I'd say, "...is *a* dynamic process *in* a living system" - and, yes, it does have a sort of "esoteric" touch, but quite a few physiotherapists etc. seem to have that, possibly from treating mental problems in the form of myogeloses day after day...

Hmm. I've pieced together "The harmony of mind, body and spirit is the dynamic process of a living system" from Bernhard's answer, but it still sounds like New Age mumbo-jumbo to me. Is that just me? Does this sentence make sense to anyone else? Sorry if I am being obtuse here!

I added a few suggestions for the sentence:

Mind, body, and spirit interact continuously to achieve harmony in a living system.

Harmony of mind, body and spirit in a living system are achieved through their continous interplay/interaction.

Mind, body, and spirit are all ever-changing/-moving/-flowing parts of the process that achieves (achieving)/leads to/establishes harmony in a living system.

Mind, body, and spirit all participate in the ever-changing/-moving/-flowing process that achieves (achieving)/leads to/establishes harmony in a living system.

Harmony of mind, body, and spirit in a living system is achieved through their ever-changing, ever-flowing interaction/interplay.

The continuous interaction between mind, body, and spirit leads to harmony in a living system.
