Lust jak najbardziej można tłumaczyć jako przyjemność i taka jest też tradycja tłumaczenia tego słowa-klucza u Freuda por. Lustprinzinp - zasada przyjemności. Ponadto słowo Streben sugeruje jakieś celowe działanie, dążenie, czego nie oddaje żądza, która po prostu ogarnia i już :)
