John was quite right about kohen and kohanim, so I'd just like to add an explanation of the word michmar that had both of us floored for a while -
michmar, or mishmar, as I would transliterate it, means divison and refers to a specific division of priests at the Temple.

: Kohanim definitely means priests, and michmar is definitely incomprehensible.
