further information about context I am sorry, I did not give the correct context for this term. It does occur in a context of a discussion of cigarette brand slogans, but actually refers to the self-image promoted (or experienced) by young people smoking particular brands. What I don't understand is how "kritis" (as in "critical thinking" or "a critical situation" or "critically" ill etc.) can be construed as describing a positive self image. Here is the full context:-

“Persepsi terhadap perilaku merokok sesuai dengan pencitraan iklan rokok, karena slogan-slogan iklan rokok memperlihatkan citra yang dibangun untuk menarik perhatian dan untuk menumbuhkan gaya hidup.
