I am trying to find the correct term for "asse impostato" below:

Verificare che l’offset dell’asse impostato su HMI non sia eccessivo.

For "asse", I have come up with axis, axle, shaft board.. might one of these be correct?
I am leaning towards "the axle offset set," but I am not certain at all. Here are a few more examples of text (in different areas of the document) containing the word:

-L’Asse non è meccanicamente in grado di eseguire il movimento previsto.
-Muovere l’asse manualmente, e verificare su HMI, il corretto
-L’azionamento ACOPOS che comanda il motore brushless di questo asse è in errore.
-L’asse deve salire di una quota eccessiva.
