In 95% of cases reading the legislation resolves any doubts. Pretty much everything from the last 20 years is online.

That's the plan Thomas, but considering I have to deliver the file at 9 am tomorrow, if I don't find the answer by reading the legislation at least by posting the question I can "mettere le mani avanti"!

pooling

I was expressly asked by a lwayers'
firm to use "pooling" for avvalimento
although I am aware this is not necessarly a perfect translation

agree fgb : it does make sense, in a way; if my understanding is correct it's when a party (general contractor) relies on the services of another company for areas where it lacks skills. Basically they do pool.

that's it- at the time I had to translate this I made a thorough research on this term including your suggestion, but finally the client (lawyer) told me they wanted to go with "pooling" :)
