Prosiłbym o pomoc w tłumaczeniu tego specyficznego zwrotu

"PiS: Przecieki z nieoficjalnych źródeł wskazują, że ustawa aborcyjna trafi do „zamrażarki”
15 kwietnia 2020.

From the perspective of the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party and the Seanad, I can assure him that we are very anxious to ensure the Bill will be passed on time and in advance of the decision of the United Kingdom to leave the European Union. If something happens, the Bill will be put on ice until Britain leaves the European Union.

Mr Gilmore said: "When the Bill was debated in the Dail last May, the Government parties wanted to avoid the embarrassment of a direct vote against it and instead proposed that the second reading be deferred until December 1st." ail last May, according to Mr Gilmore, "the Government parties wanted to avoid the embarrassment of a direct vote against it and instead proposed that the Second Reading would be deferred until December 1st. That meant that the Bill was "effectively put into `cold storage' until today", he said."
