I am translating a documentary about campesinos in Guatemala.
There is a term I am not sure who to translate. Looked everyone I could on the internet and cannot find a definition that applies to this context yet.
The interviewee says:
“Pero aquí te voy a decir: Durante 4 años pesados de lucha, ni CONAP ni Defensores ha venido a poner las patas a decirnos: ‘Señores en que los podemos ayudar’ o a decirnos tan siquiera ‘Miren aquí hay un maldito rastrillo, vayan a hacer una ronda. ¡Jamás!“
I have not been able to understand that a "ronda" is ... a circle? I know what a 'rastrillo' is .... but not the specific activity mentioned here: "hacer ronda" on the land or soil? raking, digging?

Here is what she said:
""Hacer una ronda" I think would literally mean "to make a round". In the context of the sentence, I would understand it as "make the rounds" or "have a look". I also read that "rondar" can mean "to bother". So perhaps it could mean, in this context (angrily describing the inaction of CONAP and Defensores) - "give a damn" or "bother to care about this"...if you know what I mean."
