I find 'counterparty' for contrapartida and 'counterparty' for contraparte......
Are there two different terms??

Accordingly to your text I would call the principal/contrapartida as principal/main/party and the client/contraparte as counterparty.

agree Andrea Capuselli : You're right! I think "main party" is most appropriate for "principal/contrapartida", principal wouldn't sound natural in this context.

counterparty

Counterpart is a thing complementary to another, a general term; while counterparty refers to the second party in a legal or financial transaction. In this case, both terms in Spanish would translate into the English counterparty!

Thank you, Phil! I would agree with Juan Arturo for this particular phrase, that the original text was referring to "main party" and "counterparty" (seller and buyer, for currency exchange).
