Prayer for relief
This is a suggestion from Javier Becerra's bilingual Dictionary of U.S. / Mexican Legal Terminology from the UNAM law school in Mexico, D.F. In the U.S., the 'prayer for relief' part of the plaintiff's brief suggests the solution or 'finding' that he would like the judge to order in his case. Becerra translates this as:
"Oración, petición, plegatoria. ... Puntos peretitorios; petición que el promovente hace al tribunal, ... respecto a la acción intentada o a las excepciones o defensas interpuestas."
You can see if this fits your context for the wording of the Query term in the source document.
Hope it helps; happy typing! :-)

Note from asker:
Hi Richard, and thanks for your suggestion. I can't use it in this context because the 'Propuesta' comes from someone within the court itself, rather than from the plaintiff in the case (and I didn't think to mention it in my question). I appreciate your thoughtful answer. |
