Turkish term

sulunes

Non-PRO Turkish to English Science Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) Fishing
Greetings,

During a walk on the seafront here I came across someone fishing. He showed us the bait he was using: cigarette-shaped shells containing small creatures. He was adamant that the right word was “sulunes”, but I can't find it anywhere.

What might the correct form of the word be, and what would be the correct translation, please?

All the best,

Simon

Where did it happened, here in Turkey? Was he a Turkish guy? Actually, this is the first time I hear such a bait name. Any chance of hearing it wrong? I am just trying to understand what it is. "cigarette-shaped shells" sound really weird.

Bulabildiğim olta yem türleri hakkındaki bilgiyi inceyerek Asker seçim yapabilir. Böyle bir yem yok, yanlış anlaşılmış bir yem adı sanırım.

Live bait can be purchased at fishing bait and tackle stores, at some variety stores in popular fishing areas, on a dewy lawn after dark (use a flashlight to find dew worms), compost piles, around piers and boat launches as well as around campsites.

Prepared Bait

Prepared bait is bait that has been previously prepared. These include kernel corn, bread balls, cheese balls, stink baits, salmon eggs, cereal balls, baked potato pieces, chicken entrails and hotdogs.

Artificial Bait
