            • 总线拓扑 Bus Topology ↑ 　　最常见的总线拓扑结构的网络是以太网。同轴电缆曾是它主要的传输介质，但现在大多数新的安装使用了双绞线。双绞线以太网(10Base-T)是安装成星形的总线拓扑结构，总线本身被紧缩到一个称作集线器的小盒子中，从集线器连接点到工作站的线路分支呈星形布局。 　　网络电缆系统的布局以及工作站在电缆上访问和传送数据的方法都是网络拓扑结构的一部分。总线拓朴结构的网络只有一条唯一的电缆干线，以菊链的形式连接一个接一个工作站。在实际的安装中，电缆线穿过一个接一个的办公室。所有的节点共享同一介质，某一时刻只有一个节点能够广播消息。虽然总线拓扑适合办公室的布局，易于安装，但是干线电缆的故障将导致整个网络陷入瘫痪。 　　总线型拓扑是采用主线传输作为共用的传输介质,将网络中所有的计算机通过相应的硬件接口和电缆直接连接到这根共享总线上.总线型拓扑结构适用于计算机数目相对较少的局域网络,通常这种局域网络传输数率为100Mbps,以太网是典型的总线型局域网.
