The Malacological Museum in Makarska displays the shells of sea moluscs. This museum resulted from the systematic and self-sacrificing work of the theologian and natural scientist Fra Jure Radic and the support and cooperation of many people, scholars, museum workers, collectors, and especially his faithful colleague Fra Franjo Carev. They worked under the slogan:"BY THE PEOPLE - TO THE PEOPLE - FOR THE PEOPLE".
