H2S pressure vessels
Am looking for a German translation of "lethal service" in the following context:
The pressure vessel code (ASME Sec VIII) does not specifically address H2S in this content but instead makes the general statement "lethal substances are poisonous gases or liquids of such a nature that a very small amount ..... is dangerous to life".
With the exception of SYU, there is no facility that I am aware of where vessels are designed to lethal service. Historically, xyz has not designated H2S service as lethal with regard to pressure vessel design, even in areas where the inlet H2S content is in the percentiles as opposed to ppm levels.
Any ideas anyone?

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "Thanks for putting me on the right path, I changed your suggestion around a bit."

entworfen um Lebensbedrohung auszuschließen
That is the long workaround I would probably use.
This is the definition I found on "lethal service":
"Lethal Service
Filtration Systems vessels are not designed for lethal service. “Lethal Service” refers to vessels containing lethal substances, poisonous gases or liquids of such a nature that a very small amount of the gas or vapor of the liquid (mixed or unmixed) is dangerous to life when inhaled. In addition, substances of this nature that are stored under pressure, or may generate pressure if stored in a closed vessel, are considered lethal."
There is no "diect" translation term available.

of what I understand they didn't "called" their design as being unsafe
