Επένδυση σε μετοχή της οποίας η τιμή σημειώνει απότομη πτώση. Ο επενδυτής λαμβάνει την απόφαση για αγορά της συγκεκριμένης μετοχής βασιζόμενος στην εκτίμηση ότι η τιμή της μετοχής θα αρχίσει σύντομα να ακολουθεί ανοδική πορεία. Είναι μια επένδυση μεγάλου ρίσκου, καθώς είναι επίσης πιθανό το ενδεχόμενο η τιμή της μετοχής να συνεχίσει να πέφτει και μάλιστα με τον ίδιο γρήγορο ρυθμό.
