To verify sealant placement, use UV light to check margins and sealant retention at the time of placement and during recall visits. To turn on the UV light, turn the top clockwise until the blue light is seen. Turn off the UV light by turning the top counter-clockwise until the blue light goes out. Stimulate sealant
by shining UV light onto sealed area. Sealant fluoresces (blue / white) upon exposure to UV light. Verify that there are no voids. Check occlusion with articulating paper and adjust if necessary with a finishing bur.
