Keine PLE steht für "keine Pleuraergüsse".

Die Pleura ist eine dünne Haut aus Bindegewebe. Sie umgibt die Lunge. Man nennt die Pleura auch Brustfell. Das Brustfell besteht aus zwei Bindegewebs-Schichten. Zwischen diesen beiden Schichten liegt ein dünner Spalt. Dieser Spalt enthält eine geringe Menge Flüssigkeit.

Von einem Pleuraerguss spricht man, wenn sich im Spalt zwischen den beiden Schichten mehr Flüssigkeit befindet, als normal.

Wenn auf beiden Seiten keine vermehrte Flüssigkeitsansammlung in dem Spalt ist, dann liegen keine Pleuraergüsse vor.

A pleural effusion means that there is a build-up of fluid between a lung and the chest wall.

The pleura is a thin membrane that lines the inside of the chest wall and covers the lungs. There is normally a tiny amount of fluid between the two layers of pleura.
