In order to determine which proposed source texts are the suitable for use in ProZ.com contests, proposers and participants are encouraged to "highlight" (like contest entry tagging) and discuss proposed source texts. A good contest source text should pose a reasonable challenge to translators, while allowing for "separation". It's quite common to keep the receipt/ticket (scontrino) to change Christmas gitfs if the size does not fit for example, but in this case the woman is offering herself as a gift and her husband is hoping to get her changed if she kept the ticket...
