Description O curso pretende apresentar características importantes de uma tradução técnica e descrever algumas áreas de petróleo e gás nas quais tradutores de português-BR possam atuar. Como se divide a imensa área de petróleo e gás? O que se espera de uma tradução técnica? Quais são as fontes de referência mais confiáveis? Como escolher o melhor termo? Essas e outras questões serão apresentadas e respondidas com base em pesquisa na internet, em dicionários e na experiência de projetos realizados. Trechos de textos da área serão disponibilizados aos participantes para que eles possam fazer suas próprias traduções. Na correção do exercício, será mostrado o caminho de pesquisa para a tradução de alguns termos exemplificados. Haverá um tempo de dez minutos para perguntas e respostas.
