Arabic term

جهاز تصفية الحراسات

Arabic to English Other Government / Politics Egyptian governmental agency
This is an agency within the Egyptian Ministry of Finance. In the context of the report I am translating, it is a party to a land dispute. I know what the words mean but is there a standard definition for it in English and does anyone have a good idea of what the agency does (as opposed to my vague idea!)?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Office of Settlement of Sequestered Properties

I can't find an English source, but this is what the office does - it is working on returning the property sequestered by Abdel Nassir's government from King Fuad's family and his Pashas back to their living descendants. It started under Sadat, and has been going on albeit very slowly.

agree Dina Abdo : agree with neuneutek too :)

agree Fuad Yahya : The activities are not restricted to returning sequestered properties, but include such modes of disposition as transfer to the public domain, liquidation, et al. Sequestering continues today. In Nasser's time, it went far beyond royal properties.
