siccome e un termine francese, potresti utilizzarlo come nel testo originale, visto che pure in altre lingue si utilizza lo stesso termine francese

Belle Epoque

If the original text is referring to (and I think it is) THE Belle Epoque (1871-1914) in Europe between the Franco-Prussian War and the WWI, then it should be capitalised.
