Where in the text does it appear: caption, headline, slogan, bullet point...? Is there a good reason not to rewrite the whole passage in natural English (maybe something beginning with "At the heart of all our...")?? There's no such thing as "no context".

I find it hard to believe that there isn't any more context. What kind of text is this is from and what is its intended audience? Direct mail, print ad, web, internal briefing... You might not know everything, but you probably know more than we do!

Person or people - depends on the particular corporate approach. Same applies to the verb. By the way our US colleague used spontaneously almost the same idea just added 'our'. I would prefer to be treated individually either as a client or partner :)
