Dutch to English Other IT (Information Technology)
"Het mee uitwerken, uitdragen en doen naleven van de technische architectuur van de verschillende toepassingen van een domein teneinde te komen tot een coherente en functionele samenhang van de toepassingen binnen dit domein en de andere domeinen van DBB rekening houdend met de beschikbare budgetten, resources en infrastructuurstandaarden. Could someone please help me to translate "uitwerken, uitdragen en doen naleven" in this sentence with respect to the technical architecture? This sentence comes out of a job description of a Senior Techincal Architect in a banking company.

No problem! :-)
Ruchira Raychaudhuri (asker) Aug 20, 2006:
first-timer! Sorry Adam, this was actually the first time I was asking a question here so I wasn't really aware of all the rules (and norms). Next time I'll definitely wait longer :-)
Adam Smith Aug 20, 2006:
Although I don't necessarily disagree with Jack's reply - just for future reference - more time (24 hrs) should have been allowed for grading (Kudoz rule) - in particular to allow for peer responses from various time zones - HTH - :-)
writeaway Aug 20, 2006:
2.3 One term is allowed per question. Including multiple terms for translation in a single KudoZ posting interferes with the process of generating glossary entries. http://www.proz.com/?sp=siterules&mode=show&category=kudoz_a...

One possibility, I would say.

@Ruchira: Sure, 'ensuring compliance to' would be fine here if you want to water it down a bit. 'Further development of', 'further developing', 'working out' or 'enhancing' might be usuable alternatives for 'elaborating'.
Note from asker:
Thanks a lot Jack. I think 'promoting' really fits here but I'm not so sure about the rest...especially 'enforcing' seems too strong in this context. Perhaps something on the lines of 'ensuring compliance to' for 'doen naleven'? What do your think?
