English term
stratified for .... against
English to German
Marketing
Marketing / Market Research
Hi, everyone!
I came across this term in a market research questionnaire.
Here's the context:
"A sample of 355 African American individuals, stratified for gender, age, educational attainment and country-of-origin variables against the US Census (US Bureau of the Census 2002). 55% of the population were female, 45% were male and the age range was 16-70."
Could anyone help me out with the "stratified FOR ... AGAINST" part?
Help would be appreciated :-)

untergliedert scheint mir besser zu passen als unterteilt
