Hola a todos,
Me esta costando traducir "por lo imprevisto" a ingles. Se que "imprevisto" quiere decir "unforeseen" o "unexpected," pero no se que hacer con la frase entera:
"Que extrano que en los primeros momentos los consideraba ataques, por lo imprevisto, sobre todo."

¿Podrías ampliar un poco el contexto - si hablamos de ataques con armas de fuego o verbales?

out of (sheer) surprise/shock

ie, it was the element of surprise in particular that made him/her think, in the heat of the moment, that they were being attacked...

If you use the intensifier "sheer", then you could get away without "in particluar", since "sheer" implies that it was simply through surprise/shock - which is perhaps a neater solution...
