Tabebuia tree, peuva tree, ipe tree

O gênero é Tabebuia (família Bignoniaceae). Há várias espécies, portanto, se você não sabe exatamente qual é a espécie, o melhor é usar apenas o nome do gênero, sem mencionar a espécie. É o caminho seguro a seguir.

Sorry I posted my response in Portuguese, Matt. I just meant to say that if you're not sure about which species you're dealing with, the best is to use the genus name. One of the species is Tabebuia ipe, so "ipe tree" or "Tabebuia tree" are very good options.

agree Muriel Vasconcellos : I recently made a small deck of ipe wood - it came in pre-cut tiles. Very pretty!.By the way, it was being sold in English with the circumvlex accent on the e.
