Also, ختام means you completed the recitaiton of the whole Quran, not part of it. In the translation, we should include " whole" .

there is a slight difference in meaning between " recitation" and "recital" even though they have something in common, when refering to religious practice, the word " recitation" is more proper.

To Profi-assem: I did not make my comment on your suggestion until I had read the link given by you, that is why I explained the difference between those two expressions. Something on the so-called " dictionary" is not always correct in all situations. For example: You can say: we perform " Recitation of the whole Quran" in Ramadan, and we acheive " the completion of the recitation of the whole Quran" on a certain day in Ramadan.

: " Recitation of the whole Quran" means the act of recitating the Quran with an intention of completing the whole Quran, not necessarily means the recitation of the whole Quran has been completed , say, on the first day of Ramadan.
