You may add "amerikansk" - nothing wrong about that, but I don't think it is necessary.

ostelagkage
The Danish term is "ostelagkage".
Note from asker:
And if the American tourist comes to the caffee or restaurant and says: "I want ostelagkage", will a waiter understand that the torist wants to eat his national American cheesecake? or they can give him their Danish variant? |

klassisk amerikansk cheesecake
I think people nearly always use the English word. If you want to make sure it is the right kind of cheesecake you can write "klassisk amerikansk cheesecake".
Another possibility is "flødeostekage".
