English term

procurer

English to Hindi Law/Patents Law (general)
The text deals with the laws for sex workers.

Here is the complete sentence:

"The term 'sex worker' does nothing to dignify the women involved, but rather dignifies pimps, procurers and traffickers, who can call themselves managers or organisers."

Thanks in advance!

दलाल

Although procurer has these meanings प्रापक, प्रापयिता, समाहर्ता but I think that दलाल is applicable in this case.

प्रापक

Procurer is the person other than the pimp and the trafficker. He or she can be the owner of the brothel or the end-user of the commodity i.e. an unfortunate woman termed sex-worker by the rotten "civilised" people whose boss is Bush, Manmohan, Sonia, etc.

I'd translate 'pimp' as 'भड़ुआ'. Even though the terms are close, I think the term 'pimp' has the sense of controlling the prostitutes as well.

भड़ुआ

Taking the reference of the text quoted by the asker, I have used a different hindi equivalent for 'procurer' which is very commonly used in the sex trade. As the words 'pimps' and 'procurers' have been used in the same text so it would be helpful for the translator to use different equivalents in hindi. I feel that 'Dalaal' should be kept reserved for 'pimp'.

As the word 'procurers' is plural so the translator should change the hindi word as well in plural which would be भड़ुओं.
