Une 'image miroir' (calque de l'anglais) n'est pas la copie de l'image, mais son reflet, comme vu dans un miroir. A ne pas confondre avec l'image inverse ou inversion d'image verticale ou horizontale (GB:flip).

L'image miroir d'un disque dur en est effectivement la copie conforme, mais dans un autre contexte.
