Spanish term

siendo que

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Mantendría una residencia fiscal en México, siendo que vive de manera habitual en Canadá.

Me confunde el significado de "siendo que" en este contexto.

You would remain as Mexican resident for tax purposes, although you usually live in Canada.

Yo lo entiendo como un "aunque".

Gracias.

Connectors connectors connectors! I don’t know how many conversations I have had where I wanted to LINK two thoughts together but did not know the proper word to LINK these thoughts together smoothly. Today I found a gem (SIENDO QUE – even though). I will try to use this one 3 times today to place it in my Spanish toolkit.
