Berdasarkan rujukan berikut dan juga kamus Shook (2002),

trailing stop if bid adalah salah satu jenis stop order (order berhenti, yaitu permintaan untuk membeli atau menjual sebuah sekuritas segera setelah harga sekuritas menyentuh level tertentu).

Order berhenti ini ditujukan untuk mencegah terjadinya kerugian yg lebih besar akibat fluktuasi harga sekuritas.

Sesuai dg pengertian di bawah ini, trailing stop adalah order berhenti yg mengikuti (trailing) kecenderungan pergerakan harga yg berlaku.

Sementara itu,
if = bila
bid = tawaran beli (lawan dari ask, tawaran jual)

Jadi,
trailing stop if bid = order berhenti ikut bila ada tawaran beli

Trailing Stop - stop order that moves with the price of the instrument, and stays in place if the instrument price goes against the Client. The order will be executed if the instrument price falls (long positions) or rises (short positions) to reach the order's level. The distance (number of pips) between the instrument price and trailing stop order is specified by the trader.

Trailing Stop - A stop-loss level set above or below the current price that adjusts as the price fluctuates. For a long position, a trailing stop would be set below the current price and would rise as the price advances. Should the price decline and reach the trailing stop, then a stop-loss would be triggered and the position closed. As long as the price remains above the trailing stop, the position is held. Indicators such as the Parabolic SAR or moving averages can be used to set trailing stops.stops become markets orders when executed so the order may not be filled at desired price .As a result the initial risk can be estimated but not guranteed.
