gate, barriers

Zapornice are not necessarily a water gate. This word can mean:

1) "premična priprava, ki onemogoča prehod: dvigniti, spustiti zapornico na cesti; zapornica na mejnem prehodu" - GATE
2) "naprava v obliki dveh drogov, ki ob križanju ceste in železniške proge v vodoravni legi onemogoča prehod čez železniško progo" - BARRIERS.
Example sentence:

A gate is a point of entry to a space enclosed by walls, or an opening in a fence. Gates may prevent or control entry or exit, or they may be merely decorative.

Automatic Level crossings in Belgium have two red lights, an amber light and sometimes barriers.
