French term

opposition ( here)

French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) business contract
L'opposition formée par un gérant à l’égard d'un autre gérant est sans effet, sauf s'il est établi que le tiers en ait eu connaisance.

It seems to me like it's missing something , I can't make sense of it. Thank you for your help

more context This paragraph is part of a section called :

Dans les rapport avec les tiers
La société est engagée par les actes de la gérance, même ceux qui ne relèvent pas de l'objet social , sauf si elle peut prover que le tiers savait que l'acte dépassait cet objet ...

I can't really see who is the third party and why would a manager start legal action against another
Is it possible that they actually mean that that specific manager is a third party contractor?

legal proceedings

Hello,

I think they are just referring to "legal proceedings" here.

Legal proceedings cannot brought by one manager against another without the knowledge of the the third party.

If it's not about legal proceedings, then I don't know what it's referring to.

How could it just be "objection" here? I know that "opposition" can mean "objection" in some cases, but I don't think that's the case here.

engagé par = bound by

The company is bound by the "actes de gérance", which are "management actions."

object social = the company's objectives

sauf si elle (société) peut prouver que le tiers savait que l'acte dépassait cet objet = except if it can prove that the third party knew that this action was going beyond what had been set as the objectives of the company

objection or appeal

cf Harraps/Dalloz dico juridique. I'm sure it won't be referring to legal proceedings in a completely non-specific sense.
