English term

AS IS

English to Portuguese Bus/Financial Law (general) software licensing
as is
Hello!

I have the impression that this expression has already been answered on KudoZ, but I couldn't find it in our glossary. I do understand the meaning, but is there a specific term for it in Portuguese?

Definition
as is
Term in an agreement, such as for software licensing, indicating that no expressed or implied warranty is provided.

Thanks in advance!

Andrea Munhoz (asker) May 15, 2008:
Thank you all so much! As the original text had the expression in inverted commas, I decided to use it in English with Alonso's suggestion in parenthesis.
M. Celina Alonso Neves May 15, 2008:
Eu diria: ... é fornecido ao cliente exatamente no estado em que se encontra.
Andrea Munhoz (asker) May 15, 2008:
So, in the context, how would you guys insert your suggestions?

XXX IS PROVIDED TO CUSTOMER STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS" BASIS.

Marcos Antonio May 15, 2008:
De fato este termo já foi apresentado no proz.com. No contexto apresentado, naquela ocasião, o seu significado foi "no estado". É necessário observar se em seu trabalho poderá ser utilizado desta forma.
